About the Job

As a Faculty Programme Director, you will work closely with the chair of the Programme Committee for Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology (KB Committee). You will have overall responsibility for the daily and strategic work of the committee's engineering, bachelor’s, and natural science programs at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. In collaboration with students, teachers, researchers, the faculty, and industry, you will develop the programs to ensure they maintain high quality and meet the changing needs of the world. You will ensure that the committee's decisions comply with laws and regulations and align with Linköping University's overarching policy.

You will be part of the management team for undergraduate education at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, where you will play a key role in the strategic work of development and follow-up. Together with the committee, you will drive the work on educational plans, assist the faculty management with expert support, discuss program content with proposers and other stakeholders, and evaluate the committee's work.

You will participate in national and international networks regarding educational issues. You will also work with internationalization (student exchange), which involves participating in international conferences and recognizing studies abroad.

About You

The tasks require high demands for accuracy, sensitivity, integrity, and analytical ability, as well as curiosity and self-drive. The ability to delineate and prioritize your own work is essential, as is the ability to adopt different perspectives and approaches.

You have a recognized capacity to independently tackle tasks and drive them from start to finish. You work well in teams and can take on various roles without concern. You appreciate and understand the importance of working in a common context to contribute to the whole. You are comfortable in meetings with both individuals and larger groups.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability when filling this position.

We want you to have:

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, and either a completed PhD or extensive relevant experience from industry.
  • Documented experience in management and development within technical and/or natural science areas.
  • The ability to express yourself correctly in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Good knowledge of Excel.

Your Workplace

The Faculty of Science and Engineering is the largest at Linköping University with approximately 10,500 students, 1,250 employees, and a budget of over one billion SEK. In the administration, we are about 40 employees, and you will be part of a working group of seven Faculty Programme Directors, all responsible for a total of five program committees. The group supports each other, shares knowledge on educational issues, and collaborates in common areas. The group is driven by the desire to continuously build better education for the future.

About the Employment

Permanent, full-time.

Start date by agreement.
